Time for restaurant makeover
This was my first time back in over 10 years and now I know there is no reason to return. The Reuben sandwich I had was made from boiled or roasted beef rather than corned beef. It was bland, tough and stringy. The kaiser bun was quite stale so I ate only part of it. Instead of sauerkraut on top I got what seemed like par-boiled cabbage. Mustard in a dish was ordinary yellow stuff rather than deli style. The slice of dill pickle was soft and tasteless rather than pickled and crisp. Fries were plentyiful but were the bland frozen variety. The thermos of hot coffee was okay and make up for the chilled waitress. I endured eating at least part of this awful meal because I worked all night and was famished. The restaurant appeared neglected with broken wall tiles, dirty wallpaper and a dingy appearance overal. If running this business is all about making money then hire an executive chef to revamp the menu and raise the calibre of standards. Renovate the restaurant to bring it up to modern times. Leave daily operations to a competent manager with high standards and have Terry (the owner) take on a different role such as retiring or socializing with patrons. Country Boy is due for a complete makeover.
