Thank you to the South Sea staff for making our Christmas party so memorable. Service was the best and the food presentation was absolutely eye-catching. My staff was very impressed and we will definitely do more party functions with you in the future. Everything was very fresh, hot, and above all, DELICIOUS. Very elegant and creative setup of our dining table as well! Thank you (Shey-Shey)

I live in Brantford and have always wanted to try this restaurant out as I heard plenty of great reviews. Having tried it this past weekend, I cannot think of a better Chinese restaurant! They are all about excellence in food presentation and double excellence in service. In fact, I can say that this restaurant has better service than some of the 5-star restaurants in the city. Our waitress (I was told that the Chinese boy that the other reveiwers of this site was talking about wasn't there) was simply a delight and I had such a fantastic dining experience! While waiting for the food, I was admiring all of the seashell paintings that were on the walls throughout the restaurant. The dining room was cozy with the most beautiful and relaxing Chinese instrumental music playing in the background. I then received my jasmine tea and my iced tea and they were all served on very unique glasses. The iced tea glass had an arched stem to it, while the jasmine tea pot was made out of black porcelain and had a bamboo handle to it! Very classy. The hot and sour soup was delicious and had a good spiciness. I then got the order of calamari accompanied with terriyaki sauce which was a huge portion that could be shared among 4 people. Then all of the entrees came and I was literally blinded by how beautiful all of the food was decorated! The food portions were very large and were all served on gorgeous square plates of various colours. It was almost too beautiful to eat...almost. The ginger tofu was absolutely dreamy and the cantonese chow mein was very flavourful as well. I can tell that the food was cooked with little grease and that nothing was premade since the vegetables maintained their crispness. The best dish would be the General Chicken. The sauce was just out of this world delicious. The absolute best part of the bill was the price. All of the dishes I ordered were around $8 which makes it very affordable. COnsidering the food presentation and service, this restaurant is truly a masterpiece and have thought about all avenues to make for a pleasureable dining experience. See for yourself and you will know what I mean!

Before I talk about my dining experience here, I want to thank www.restaurantica.com for creating such a great website!!! I like to eat out often but when it comes to places I've never been before, I prefer to hear what others say about the dining establishments before I go and experience them myself. It has gotten me aware of such wonderful hidden gem restaurants such as this one which I would have been oblivious to, so thank you, RESTAURANTICA! I decided to try South Sea for the first time this past Saturday after reading about it on this site, and it was sensationable in every aspect! I got to dine on beautiful square plates and got to saw the amazing visual presentation of the food like all the other reviewers have praised about on this board. Their presentation hands down beat all the other restaurants I've been to. My Thai rice dish resembled a tropic resort with palm trees a swimming pool (I'm not kidding. You have to see it to believe it). The pan fried shrimp were out of this world delicious with huge shrimp and no batter, but yet juicy and crisp. I will definitely order it the next time I go. Some more highlights of the night was the dessert and the service. I had coconut ice cream, it was dreamy! The service was the absolutely the BEST I've had to date ever!!! I too had a Chinese boy serve me, perhaps it's the same one as the other reviewers have pointed out, and he was just simply perfect (I would've asked him out for a date on my account if I was about 10 years younger!) He was very prompt and had that genuine spark and sense of caring to make my dining experience pleasureable. He even brought me individually wrapped toothpicks immediately after I was done dining...like what other restaurant cares that much to do such a nice gesture! I can't think of any. South Sea is wonderful. I am going to bring my parents there for Father's day. Perhaps I'll get the name of that boy that served me :D

After reading previous reviews we thought that we...

After reading previous reviews we thought that we must try this restaurant which is a good hours drive from home. We were not disappointed. Elaine our waitress was excellent. The food was some of the best chinese food we have had. The presentation of the dishes was awsome. We especially liked the tai pineapple fried rice and the general chicken. Great experience! Great food! We definitely will be returning.
