We went to Signature last week for Dinner and enjoyed the meal alot. Roasted Papadums with mint and tamarind chutney came complementary even before we opened the menu's. I must say Tamarind Chutney is to die for nice and thick packed with flavours.. We orederd chef's platter for 4 it had all the appetizers to taste crisp and delicious. for main course we had butter chicken(exellent) lamb vindaloo, tandoori chicken, palak panire , an mini eggplant dish, panire stuffed nan and plain nan with rice.. food came out on time and hot with good serving. overall we had good time.. very friendly service . we'll be back - great to have good indian restaurant in whitby.
I tried Signature for a couple of their lunch specials last week. I started with an order of chicken tikka with naan. The tikka arrived with slightly charred edges and lacked the heavy, red food coloured look that many tikkas seem to have. A good start. The chicken was moist, but, didn't have any charcoal flavour (I assume they don't have a charcoal tandoor). It didn't pack much flavour which was a disappointment. The naan was excellent, it arrived blistered and had a good chew to it, just how I like it. The chicken vindaloo was hit and miss, they appear to use chicken tikka mixed into their vindaloo curry. I think it'd be better if they used marinated chicken specifically made for the vindaloo for depth of flavour. I picked out allspice and or clove from the curry but it didn't pack a lot of heat. It also contained more potatoes than chicken. Added to a generous order of rice, the chicken was lost. The curry had a bit of a gritty mouth feel, a slight turnoff. All in all I enjoyed the naan, the rest was a miss. I didn't feel I got value for the money, 4 or 5 chunks of chicken and naan for $7? same with the vindaloo, generous portion of rice and potatoes, skimpy on the chicken. I sat near the kitchen as I waited and definitely heard the microwave beeping on more than one occasion. I would have liked to have heard pots and pans, but didn't.... Overall, meh......

Excellent value for money and great food. The new owners have done an amzing job in such a short period of time and we were very impressed with the food and service. We will be back here for sure.
My family love Indian Food and we all were really satisfied with the Siganture Indian Cusine new years eve buffet . Butter Chicken and Fresh Naan Bread ws my fav. Good buffet setup for the price compare to leading buffet places. There menu also looks good we will be back. I personally recommend this place and no more driving to Toronto.
