Favorite Italian restaurant. Best bang for your buck! Consistent large portions and no trouble parking. Tasty pastas ...large portions! Marinara steamed Mussels are fantastic! Their homemade Tiramisu cakes are perfectly moistened and flavored evenly. Highly recommend!

The manner in which the owners speak to their clients is quite disturbing. You are lucky to have business while in a recession...so be greatful to the hand that feeds you. There is no need to talk to clients in the tone that you do. For example, "Are you kidding me its a Saturday you really think you are going to find a seat in here?" People can do without the arrogant attitude. Although the service is awful (wait time for your bill is 15 minutes+), the food makes up for it!

this is a brutal place, i was born and raised in Italy and sadly now living in woodbridge like everyother Italian.. but i have been to this place more then once and hopefully wishing there service will smarten up but clearly not! ... they are rude, ignorant, and worst of all NO PEOPLE SKILLS what so ever! ... I will most diffently not recoment this restaurant to anyone i know! there has been times where no one would hardly be in there and we still had to wait over an hour and there was reservations!!! whats the point of making them then, honestly! .. when we finally got seated i was the only one who ordered an appetizer when she asked everyone what drinks they wanted! .. so she "apparently" wrote down what i wanted but the meals came before the appetizer and i still had to ask her where it was TWICE!! the second time i got upset and just told her to forget it, i dont want it now when my meal is here! she hardly came to the table to see how were doing or how the food was, the glasses were empty for a long period of time before she even came acround to check! and i had to aks another waiter for refills and the bill! .. being a family owned restaurant is NO EXCUSE to be that RUDE or SLOW.. if your not ready for business then dont open a restaurant...

Well where do you begin when you read reviews of a restaurant that complain about the service and the persons serving you? You start by being fair to the establishment and trying it out in a fully open and objective manner without prejudicial expectations of the staff and owners. First we did make reservations because as anyone knows that guarantees you will not be turned away. Upon arrival we did had a little delay in waiting for someone to approach us to confirm that we had reserved for 2. So what they were busy with a large contingent of families there for graduation parties and it only took just a few minutes anyway! Next the staff brought us to our seats and they were friendly asking us how we were. Along the way we were already scouting out the various menu items around the place that people were enjoying and the aromas that filled every nook and cranny. We sat down and quickly reviewed the menu choosing the "Zuppa de pesce". In the interim we asked for a 1/2 litre of white wine that was very good and received a nice basket of fresh Italian Bread with butter. Our appetizer was delivered shortly after and it was a plate of bruschetta that was only $2.50! The main entree was delivered within a reasonable time given it was freshly prepared just for us. The zuppa came with a red sauce that was to die for and also with a salad that was crisp, and had just the right amount of vinegar and oil. Yum! It was so good I cannot even begin to describe to you what a pleasure it was to eat it. I am sure if we chose the white wine version that it would have been just as enjoyable. When we asked for more bread to soak up the sauce the staff came back quickly with a second basket. Wow so far great food and excellent and friendly service. Is this against type or what? Directly in contrast to some of the reviews we had read. For dessert we asked what was on the menu and we chose the cherry cheesecake. My wife had a cappuccino and I asked it they had cold espresso coffee. You know what they did? Our waiter had made a batch that day because customers were asking and he was curious as to what the fuss was about cold coffee. Thank God because it was cool, freshly brewed coffee in a glass just like I would make at home during the summer. Good on them for addressing a customer preference! After all this our bill was just a little over $75. The tip was extra but we gave more than 15% because we felt they deserved it. I proceeded to pay using my debit card and commented to the man at the cash that the “reputation from some of the negative reviews” was definitely not deserved. He was appreciative because complaints can often be easy to give but compliments are strangely avoided. If you consider going out for Italian food you should give Desserts Plus a try as you will not be disappointed. You might have to wait longer at times if they are busy but remember that made-to-order food is by nature slow anyway. Try and keep in mind that the staff there are only human and they will react to patrons who are let us say less than positive. So if you want to go there with an attitude then just stay home so they can serve those of us who appreciate the food and service. Thank you Desserts Plus for an enjoyable experience and meal!

Being a student in the woodbridge area desserts...

Being a student in the woodbridge area desserts plus is always a favourite with me and my friends. we make atleats two trips there a month with minimum of 8 people before we go to the clubs. the service is always polite and simple, and the atmosphere has so much going for it. we're a loud group of 8 guys and fit right in with all the families, couples and people just enjoying their time out. the service is slow but when the food arrives all is forgotten. most of us being of italian decent we would never eat pasta anywhere except at home, wrong with desserts plus you are at home. keep up the good work because we dream of those huge plates of delicious food.

the patio is great in the summertime!! i had the penne alla vodka, it could of used less onions though. overall we had an enjoyable experience and would go back mainly for the atmosphere

Food was alright...

Well, the food was actually pretty decent. The portions were huge, and the prices are darn cheap!! But the SERVICE is pathetic. NONNA,ZIA,CUMARA & PAESANA are the waitresses of the evening....COME ON, HIRE SOME DECENT STAFF, MY WAITRESS (NONNA), KEPT BUMPING INTO MY CHAIR EVERY SINGLE TIME SHE WALKED BY (WHICH WAS AT LEAST 200 TIMES ). And she didn't even notice! How annoying! People definitely go because its a cheap feed, and you fill up and you still bring home a doggie bag! Eat for a week for $12.

Very Good Food, service can be up and down

I have been here many times and have alway found the food very good, large portions, great taste. Service can be the only issue althoug I've learned to accept it. Very good value.

Authentic Italian at at reasonable prices!!!!

Ok..being of Italian descent..I dread going to so called Italian restaurants but this place is the real deal... an amazing family owned restaurant located in Woodbridge Ontario,Canada....The pizza is made in a woodburning oven and wow it was one of the best I've had in years...then on to the pasta ,when I saw the bowl I almost fainted, it was a huge portion of penne arrabiata..I then had to try the amazing huge portion of dessert,which needless to say I could not finish...and to end it all an amazing espresso.... when the bill arrived I could not believe my eyes...I calculated ,that if I had gone to a trendy downtown Toronto Italian restaurant I would have easily have spent an extra $30.00..I highly recommend it..the only down fall was that the food was always cooked fresh on the spot..so it did take a bit longer than expected, but well worth the wait....
