I went for Lunch Buffet. The decor is pretty nice and tidy but the FOOD WAS AWFUL. It does not have a typical north indian taste rather it's a bengali (sweet) version of Punjabi food. Someone who is trying out Indian food for the first time may like it 'cos of the sweetness and mild taste. Someone who wants to try authentic Indian food DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. The butter chicken was sweet, all curries for veggies and meat were sweetened, Gulabjamuns were watered down (More water than sugar in the syrup and probably made from flour than milk). The mix veg was made out of cheap frozen veggies. I also caught the waiteress drinking juice from the same Jug which was put out on the Buffet table (Gross!!) Only thing i liked was the smile on face of the people who were serving and a very tidy place with lots of Indian artifacts displayed... Not a worth place to go and spend $50 for family
This is hands down the best Indian food in all of Ottawa. The buffet always has fantastic selection and the dinners are excellent as well. If you're ordering to go - give at least 30 minutes for your order to be ready for pickup. Service at lunch time is much faster than dinner time but staff are always SOOOO friendly. overall this restaurant is 10/10 - you'd be crazy to eat anywhere else!
A wonderful package! Great tasting food, great service and affordable prices.
Lunch buffet is THE BEST Indian food I have evr had. Wonderful variety and amazing taste. I would reccomend it to anyone and will certainly be back!
My favorite Indian Restraunt in the world. While I agree with others that the decor leaves something to be desired, I go to restraunts for the food, not the paintings on the wall. While not entirely traditional in their taste, it is by far the best Indian Food available. Though things seem to have changed a bit over the years (perhaps its just me?) I still prefer it to any other restraunt (Indian or not!) It's worth a trip, even if it is just for take-out!
