Good food & atmosphere, questionable cleanliness
I'll start with I like -- and want to continue liking! -- the Iron Duke. It's just that every time I go there, there's *something* significant that annoys.
On this particular experience, we received "fresh" glasses on a few occasions. One smelled of stale beer, another of bleach. It seemed like at one minute they're just rinsing (yuck!), and the next they're going overboard with the bleach wash. I know other people who've had the same experience.
I've begun to question every dish/glass/piece of cutlery they bring me.
Really, it has the potential to be an AWESOME pub. But the attention to detail thing really needs some... well, attention.
We were blown away by the transformation that has taken place here. The interior of this pub is gorgeous, and the food was killer. That was the best calamari I've had in Kingston, and my souvlaki platter was wonderful. My wife and I look forward to trying out the rest of the menu.
Amazing Pub/Restaurant with great atmosphere and friendly staff.... fantastic and healthy food and all the sports you can possibly handle on multiple flat screen TV's... with a great selection of beers on tap... A must!
