This is the best Fish and Chips shop in Kingston! Everything I have had there is absolutely delicious. Maggie also makes a mean poutine! My favourite take out spot.

New ownership several years ago and the quality of food and service is way down. I go in on Good Friday to get an order of Halibut and Chipps and I'm handed a pre-packaged, lukewarm order.

Fooled Twice, Never again

If you are planning a trip tp Fran's you might as well just head to your corner grocery store and grab some frozen fish to cook in your oven. I watched in horror as the employee reached into the freezer grabbed to breaded frozen pieces of fish and plunked them into the freezer. Then the grabbed a box of fries and shook some in as well. Nothing fresh about this place. friends raved about this place so I gave it 2 shots, both utter failures.. stay away

The halibut was crispy and tasty but greasy. The fries were a disaster, not hot and on the soggy side - fresh cut fries should be better than this. The service was acceptable. The store could be cleaner.
