A family that stays together eats together. It might be a variation of the original saying, but it fits appropriately when you meet Dilraj Aryal and his younger brother Yuvraj Aryal. They are the proud owners of the Indian restaurant Bombay Grill, which has several branches in the Greater Toronto Area, including Burlington, Ajax, Hamilton, Milton and Markham.
The brothers worked as chefs in several Indian restaurants in Calgary and Toronto before starting their first restaurant in Burlington. “Therefore, it was a no-brainer and in 2002, we made the obvious but risky decision to open our first restaurant,” says Dilraj.
Dilraj says it was their dream to run their own establishment and they thought it was important to give it at least one good shot. “Failure was never an option, but it was still at the back of our minds even though we had all the necessary skills to be successful,” he says.
The brothers are originally from Delhi, India, but they opted to use Bombay in their restaurant’s name. “The city, Bombay, was more known to Canadians than Delhi, so it preceded over the latter,” says Dilraj. “And since we were excellent at making grilled food, we named our restaurant Bombay Grill.”

The food always tastes great. We usually get take out. I find service a little slow but well worth the wait. I definitely reccomend this restaurant if you like indian.

I'm Indian and I'll tell you, they do a good job here. The entire office is hooked and Bombay Grill (they were once Bombay Chaat and I think that name was better) is deserving of the applause.
I really enjoy their cuisine. We enjoy the appetizers, main course options, and really enjoy their desserts. Even though it is a relatively humble restaurant----GO THERE and FEAST!
Good Indian cuisine - particularly for outside the GTA. If owners can address issue of cleanliness (seat cushions are in need of a good dry clean)and maintain consitent level of food quality, they will do well over the long run.
