We have been going there since it opened and it our favourite to go to place. Your listing of methods of payment is incorrect as they take credit cards. Love, love, love their food. Gluten free pasta also available.
Most delicious homemade cuisine in all of Brant County. Yummy!
I have been to La Cantinella a couple times and each time the food was amazing. The bruschetta at this place is the best I have ever tasted and the pasta was made fresh and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is great, set in an older building in downtown St. George. The first night that my family and I went everything was perfect. The service was very professional and friendly. The chef and owner came out to our table to check on our meals. The second night we went on a slower night and the service wasn't that great. The food was still amazing and did not take long to come out but the waitress didn't check on us very often and I had to go ask for a drink refill. It was also freezing in the room we were in. Overall I would still recommend this restaurant, but suggest going on a Friday or Saturday night to get the best service.
An all around great birthday dinner. The salads with fresh fruit vinaigrette (kiwi/pear) were really tasty and was a perfect blend of flavours. The fazzoletto was a favourite especially its sauce. There was no complaints with the mains, the the lasagna was a very large portion, and the agnolotti with salmon tasted great (wish I ordered it). The Fettuccine had tons of vegetables and was a good sized portion. I added chicken to the fettuccine and was perfectly cooked, however the pasta was a delicious dish on its own. The crepe with strawberries, ice cream, and chocolate sauce was the perfect way to finish the dinner on a hot day. The service was very good, as a few servers were working together to work on tables. Our food came out a a decent speed, especially given the large group that was in the room next door. In response to the previous review, which I read before going. They lights were slightly dimmed and 2 small candles were placed on our table. Also, a small restaurant will have a small kitchen and service staff, it will take a while to make the food, especially at a weekend night seating. This isn't a chain-style heat & serve pasta place. Overall it was a great experience, and even my family member with picky eating habits enjoyed the evening.
It wasn't the best we've had.The service was meh and the atmosphere was lacking. At one point we didn't see our waitress for 15 minutes and had to go looking for her to get some more drinks. Our entrees came out sporadically, probably a ten minute stretch between the 1st and the 6th. The lights were cranked WAY up. Dim the lights a little, and buy some candles. For what the 6 of us spent I was hoping for a little more. The food was above average but not amazing. Restauranteurs need to realize the dining experience isn't just about the food, its the whole event.
