Excellent restaurant! It has a very nice atmosphere, and the food is very traditional Japanese. My favourite dish at Amakara Japan is the Gyoza (dumplings). I love how the cuisine is presented to you. I would recommend Amakara Japan to anyone that loves exotic flavours and asian cooking.
I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is always spectacular and you get so much for your money. They have a very large menu with lots of sushi and sashimi to choose from as well as traditional entree dishes. They also have a very large appetizer section of great variety at great prices. The service is fast and friendly, and the take out is always ready in half an hour or less which is awesome as well. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Whenever I'm in town, I always go to Amakara. I've never been dissapointed. The Miso Soup is nice with a plentiful amount of tofu and seaweed. Service was good as always. My friend enjoyed her kitsune udon very much, and my brother and I fought over who would get the last of the Hamachi rolls.
Never dissapoints. Have been eating at Amakara since it was located on James Street ! BEST and most generous portions of sashimi anywhere from st kitts to Toronto and likely beyond. Ambience is cozy. Is quite small so sometimes it gets pretty noisy if the restaurant is packed but that is few and far between. Good for take out and bringing lunch to Montebello Park as well. Staff friendly and efficient to a person !! Well done and hats off to you !!
