great food. one of the best i'v had in a while. this place doesnt deserve anything but straight 10s. my experience here was practically flawless. bet the servers love it because they are probably getting amazing tips for their awesome service.

The food was simply fantastic. Each piece of the meal had distinct taste that separated it from anything similar that I've eaten before. Service was very friendly and ambiance was great. In general I feel that the high of quality of this meal would have cost double what I paid or possibly triple anywhere else. My girlfriend and I highly, highly recommend Ellison's Bistro and will defiantly be repeat visitors.

Presentation was excellent. Taste unbelievable. Portions plentiful. I WILL be back. The soup was so spicy, mmm just awesome. Thank you E--- for such a wonderful dinner. Even homemade hot dinner rolls... You put a lot into your dishes it is easy to see. The prices too are very affordable also. People, check this place out!

This restaurant is not to be missed! Absolutely everything is prepared from scratch by Elvis Ellison, the Owner/Chef. Don't let the unfortunate location fool you... just be thankful for all of the close free parking in downtown Kitchener. You like hot food but not the morning after? Well, you haven't eaten here; the fresh, quality ingredients will leave you absolutely amazed, and your tummy will be as calm as a pond on a summer evening. Elvis visits all his guests (usually between dinner and dessert) and is passionate in his descriptions of his food philosophy and earnest in his vision for his restaurant's future. In an era of pre-packaged roadhouses and mediocrity, Ellison's is a reminder that good things do, indeed, come in small packages. Go now so you can be one of the few who will be able to say, "I knew him when...."

Amazingly delicious food. Five-star hotel restaurant presentation at amazing value. Great service. Waitress was full of suggestions for first time customers unfamiliar with Caribbean cuisine. Ellison even came out of the kitchen to make sure everything was perfect. Can't say enough good things about this diamond in the rough.
