Inasmuch as we once owned a restaurant specialing in Fish and Chips we feel qualified to say that Captain Jack's is now the best place for a good fish dinner in Guelph.
Their batters are both very nice, the portions are not skimpy and they offer a few types of fish as well as shellfish etc. The service is friendly and efficient. Huge home made desserts to finish off the meal - if you have room.
Excellent fish and chips. Good home made coleslaw. Hated the malt vinegar and tartar sauce- can't stand mustard (who would think that there would be mustard in the tartar sauce?)Had take out so will check if there are alternates to malt vinegar and mustard sauce next time.

Took 45 minutes to get out one dish, then another 10 minutes to get the rest. Everyone who came after us got their dishes. The food didn't look like the pictures and was not worth the money.
