Great service, Food, and atmosphere. I liked the 40's music too. Our Cuppa was lovely.
Comfortable little place but playing rather strange (World War One?) music to dine by. The waitresses were very pleasant but food took forever to arrive.. A couple arrived at 12:45 asking for breakfast . . . I guess serving staff have to deal with all sorts of odd requests! I would likely try to find another place before returning as prices are a little high for what is on the plate, but not rule it out.
My husband and I truly like this tearoom. I think the service is good and the food is also always good. The only thing I don't like is that they do not vary their breakfast menu (i.e. there are no specials of the day) and they will not accomodate you getting lunch during their breakfast hours even if lunch is starting in 15 minutes. I prefer lunch items to breakfast items. However, the food, no matter when you order it, has always been good and fresh. Perhaps because we usually come at the same time of day, we typically have the same waitress who is always sweet and even when you can tell she's tired and has her hands full.
The atmosphere is one of being very stuffy....I almost felt like I was intruding. The food was great...but we both felt like we were not welcome there. And this was my third visit...bringing a friend for Florida (I had hoped that my previous feelings were unfounded but apparently not). I must say... I was disappointed in the 'welcome feeling'. The food is great but the atmosphere is very lacking. Very unwelcoming in more ways than one.
It was hard to find this place, sure there was a sign there, but it looked like a clothing store from the outside window as the view is obstructed by clothes and other items for sale. The food was very average, not exciting...boring and uninspired
A fabulous tearoom I frequent often! This quaint little haven serves the most delicious 'high-tea' to be found on this side of the pond. The scones are fantastic served with devon cream and yummy raspberry jam. Everything on the menu is fresh and delicious. I often take visiting guests here for a bite and they always rave about the food, even taking home jars of the balsamic salad dressing and raspberry jam! They are well-known for there variety of quiche and soups. The desserts are the best in town - don't pass up a chance to have a little slice of heaven - most notable are the butter tarts and bread pudding. The service is attentive and friendly. This tearoom is the perfect place for locals and tourists alike.
An absolutely delightful "find" in picturesque Erin - the decor and service were impeccable and the attention to detail is extremely noticeable. We were so very pleasantly surprised to come across this little restaurant...and will certainly recommend it to friends and colleagues. The standard set is extremely high and food was delicious..especially the deserts!!No hesitation in recommending it to our friends.
