Calgary Food Bank

It was my first time for me and my husband there today oct 19 .The volunteer forgot a bunch of stuff .I didn’t get my potatoes,turnip,beets,cheese and cracker tray,big box of frozen Mac and cheese and lasagna singles,hotdogs,steaks,ground beef ,and frozen juice .I think she forgot at least 2 crates of food .I didn’t realize it until we got home but it was too late ,they were closed.

I Went to the Food Bank for the first time yesterday. Everyone was so friendly and kind. I Was given a wide variety of nutritious food including a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables. Thank you Calgary Food Bank!

It took me a week to get through to ask about volunteer positions for a fully functioning young adult with Autism when I finally got through I was greeted by a woman with the wrong attitude to then be told they don't offer positions to people who would need someone to help them which would have been myself as another volunteer this is discrimination at its finest. They maybe for the community but clearly not for us all...
