Arrived late, cook had left but as we just left without food, the owner and his wife invited us back in and his chef wife made wonderful chicken Alfredo and done in seemingly minutes. The service was worth the trip alone and the delicious portions filled this 270 pound (123kg) hearty eater. The waiter, Ray, extremely nice and the owner introduced wife after we finished. Extraordinary service. We shall return. Thanks for the meal and inviting warmth!

Superb service from ready the female waitress and exquisite food taste and presentation were beautiful my wife had the zuppa de pesci which is fish and seaafood in a broth and I had the special of the day 8oz tenderloin with scallop potatoes and garlic kale.For dessert I opted for the grand Marnier chocolate mousse while my wife had the classic Tiramisu Overall it was fantastic and well priced $147 with a half litre of merlot
found this beautiful italian restaurant in Leaside. the ambiance, the food and service was excellent! Very warm atmosphere and very well priced for what we got and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all our family and friends!

Had some friends come down, We ate at Verdi, It was busy and we had a lovely time, I have to say the service was efficient the waiters were busy, but amazing, well spoken and kind. The food was great we all had appetizers and specials the fish was cooked perfectly the food came out fast considering it was packed. I will definitely come back and recommend eating here!!!!!

Ok, so I will never go into Verdi ( on Bayview) again. Although the ambience is nice, well it's average anyway, the waiter is awful. And it's always the same guy! Lol He is rude, completely disinterested in his customers, and looks overall like he could care less. He acts bored with his cusomers, comes across like he is just going through the motions, and really he has no desire to actually deliver quality customer service. I've been in there 3 times now, and will now officially not go back. I am always friendly to wait- staff, was a waitress myself for years. This waiter barely acknowledge's you when you walk in, and subsequently throughout your entire stay there. When my friend and I wanted to pay, we placed our debit cards on the table. He blurrts out in such a crass manner, 'we don't take debit here!' That was it. No niceties, no friendliness. Our bill was $100.00. So it's not like we had a cheap bill. Not that that would warrant rude service anyway. Useless. I was there this past summer , and he acted the same way. Blase, bored, 'whatever' attitude. God, who needs it! There are SO many places to go in Toronto. I will not waste my time there ever again. Kim
I visited Verdi with a friend and we had a lovely evening, the waiting staff were efficient and content with their job. We were seated and given wine lists and then given our drinks we were given bread straight away. I feel this restaurant is under estimated and popular i have many friends who eat there. Then i had a pasta and my friend a fish special for main the food was fantastic and the decoration superb. The flavours of sauce were perfect and tastefull the waiter filled my water glass frequently and we were well looked after even leaving the restaurant. I was deffinatly impressed the mood was great.
Atmosphere is very inviting once you walk in. Dim lights make is perfect for a girls night or first date. I got the pizza and my two other friends got the fettucini and chicken entree. The waiter was very knowledgable and friendly. Having ordered the chicken, the waiter informed us that it would take over 20 minutes. The pizza and fettucini were delightful however the chicken was still raw in the middle. Considering the wait, the chicken should have been cooked properly. Based on our experience, I will not visit this restaurant again.
We loved it! I had some friends coming to town and we were in the mood for something Italian. I found Verdi online and it was a memorable experience. A group of us had the gourmet pizza that came out of a wooden oven. Verdi was a hit! Great server. He took really good care of us and it was a great atmosphere.
Went in with a group of four for the first time on a Friday night - not a pretentious place at all. Food was great, service was above average- the waiters were older and very knowledgeable of the wine list. Their Osso Bucco was one of the best I 've had, my wife had the grilled Shrimp and Calamari - also delicious. Dishes could've come out a little faster but understood the delay since they happened to be busy. I have seen the restaurant for many years on Bayview but never had the chance to go in. Will definitely try them once again.
I have encountered being there once. After walking in, sitting down and seeing the owner without any care walk right by us. We don't care much for hoop -- la but we decided to leave. The ambiance is a disaster, the facade is ugly and makes Bayview ugly. If this is true that the owner also doesn't pay his staff....well, this person needs to be reported. I will NEVER eat at that establishment ever.

The food was awful, and the service was the worstt ever!! When we walked in it took 10 minutes for a waiter to serve us and then when we were seated it took another 10 min for them to attend us. But when the food finally came it was worst then anything i have ever tasted. It was oily, salty, and absolutely taste less. Never in my life have i been to such an awful place. The waiters were rude, the resturant was unappealing and the food was repulsive. I will never ever step foot in that horrible place again!
An utter disappointment. Food was average but the service was completely aweful, right from the moment we walked in. After being seated, we asked for recommendations on the menu. We were told that they would send another waiter over. When they did, he said he would be right back. I asked if he could place our appetizer order in the meantime to which he refused, saying that the kitchen was busy and he couldn't split up our order. He returned several minutes later after we had reviewed the menu and said "I'll be back in a few minutes to tell you about the specials since they might change your mind". He disappeared again for several minutes. When he came back he asked if we wanted to hear the specials. I said "yes" and he asked if I was sure because the list was long. I said "Please do." After telling us the 3 special items we placed our order. He delivered the meals in about 20 minutes. We never saw him again at our table, but he walked by several times to chat with the tables around us, never asking if we needed anything or how the food was. We later saw him reenter the restaurant from outside with his coat on. We were stunned that he had time to step out but could not be bothered to check how our meal was. In the meantime another waiter stopped by to clean our table, which was nice. This act of kindness was overshadowed when he walked by a few minutes later and belched while standing beside me. Ultimately, I mentioned to one of the other waiters that ours had disappeared and we wondered if he was coming back, which he did not--at least, not to our table. We were offered a coffee for our inconvenience, which we politely refused. The bill was delivered by another waiter as ours made himself busy arranging the napkins at the cash register. Closing remarks: its not hard to boil water and make pasta. There are plenty of other restaurants out there that do it well and provide an enjoyable night out. You should rethink your night if it includes Verdi Trattoria.
Go to verdi all the time, and it is always great. I would definetely recommend it to anyone.
