You may remember Jenna Brooks from a 2009 episode of CBC’s Dragon’s Den when she accompanied the owner of Fitness on the Go as a fitness home trainer and gave Robert Herjavec an on-air workout. Jenna has been in the fitness and health industry since 2003 and has worked as a certified personal trainer for gyms such as Extreme Fitness, Goodlife Fitness and One Health Clubs. She is also single-handedly responsible for creating brand awareness and launching three Physiomed clinics in the GTA, in addition to being the marketing brains behind Living City Health, a Toronto-based health care centre.
Now, as the founder of Viridescent Ltd., Jenna has reached the culmination of her years of training and helping people get fit. Through her experience as a personal trainer and fitness consultant, she has come to the realization that it is intimidating for the majority of people to sacrifice their negative health habits, adopt a healthy lifestyle, and maintain it for the long run, in one fell swoop. She says, “My goal at Viridescent Ltd. is to guide people to gradually integrate necessary balance into their lifestyle. A sustainable healthy lifestyle requires a balance between the fast-food fanatic and the yo-yo gym goer. It is hard to go green, but going greenish is much more realistic.”
