From the time he was a little boy, Quinten Tran has been a fixture in kitchens both at home and in the restaurant scene. His mother owned a Vietnamese eatery and, Quinten explains, he "grew up doing everything from cleaning tables to doing cash to doing [food] prep."
It didn't surprise anyone, then, when Quinten decided to make food his full-time career. His early years were spent trying out a lot of different things, including a seafood-specific food truck and a catering company that he started in the early 2000s. In 2014, Quinten decided the time was right to strike out on his own with Fresh Off the Boat, a restaurant that would be the "culmination of all the things I've done in my life, food-wise."
