The Crown and Dragon isn’t your average pub. Owner Mike Weger has always been inspired by Asian cuisine and was eager to incorporate some of the exotic flavours into the traditional pub grub on the menu. Since opening in 2004, his inventive chicken wings have become a local legend.
“I really love experimenting with new flavours, especially with the wings,” Mike explains. “We’ve won a number of awards and I feel that’s because of the risks we’ve been willing to take in the kitchen. We want to showcase the flavours of the world, alongside Asian influences and other European pub favourites.”
The pub’s comfortable and casual atmosphere caters to the after work crowd and there are also plenty of TVs scattered throughout to attract local sports fans. “One challenge is that we have had to prove ourselves and that we hold a special place in the neighbourhood,” says Mike. “I think we have worked hard to become a destination spot. We thought long and hard about what was missing in the area, and we noticed a deficit in pub food.”

Me and my friends were attracted by their prices but this place proved to be great not just because it's affordable but also for the quality of their services.
Best wings in Toronto, hands down! Make sure to try the Dragon's Breath, they are fantastic. If you are more on the tame side, try the Key West BBQ and a host of other mild varieties.
Our experience started at peak time on a Thursday night where we were told the wait would be 45 minutes. After only 20 minutes, the server showed us to our table, where 2 walk ins had already seated themselves. The server promptly explained that there was a waiting list and we were sat at our table on the patio. We ordered 3 lbs of wings to share, as Thursday is half price pounds ($5.00). We chose to try Smokin' Gun, Viva Italia and had the server recommend a third flavor, Cuban Sun. The two fried varieties were cooked to perfection and both sauces were good but not great as they were under seasoned. The Cuban Sun wings were baked and were among the best wings that I have ever had. The house blend of spices and hint of lime made these wings better with each bite. The bustling Yonge Street crowd provided us with good conversation as we enjoyed our modern pub fare and pints. The Crown and Dragon is inviting and serves among the best wings in the city, we will definitely be back.
DO NOT HAVE EXOTIC FOOD The wrecking crew didn't want to have any of that yucky food so we got bagels with cream cheese instead and were merry. So yummy.
hands down the best wings in the city! long before they had the award to prove it, i've been scarfing down pounds of wings here regularly. if wings aren't your thing ... the menu is full of pub classics ... many with their own twist (for the better ... Vince has some awesome creations back there!) but if you are a wing fan ... this place is your heaven! the wing list goes forever and i have yet to find a flavour that i don't like. being a fan of heat though ... dragons breath and holy habanero are my personal favourites. everything from the friendly-neighborhood-pub-feel, to the friendly staff and great food ... the crown and dragon won't disappoint, and with three days a week with half price wings - you simply can't go wrong!

best pub in Toronto hands down. The food is always great, the wait staff friendly and the environment - exactly what you're looking for when going for some beers/food with friends.
Ever since Crown and Dragon opened, I've been going there for pints, fries, chicken wings and fish and chips. Bar none, they have the best pub style fish and chips. Although, be warned, 2 pieces gets you two giant slabs of fish and unless you have an abnormally large appetite there's no way you'll finish it all. Everything there is a hit. Highly recommend, go go go!
