Usually go here for a sit down meal in the dining room. Wings are pretty good, pepper poppers, onion rings, salads are nice. The nachos I had during my most recent visit wasn't the best, but nevertheless good.
My last few visits I've sat at the bar at night, hoping to see a crowd watching the hockey or baseball games on the many TVs. I was disappointed to say the least. Only a couple of people. What happened to the atmosphere?
Rickijo's is our favorite place in town for wings. We love their breaded wings and you can't beat the special wing night. Our service however was on the opposite spectrum. The waitress was very moody and said she had been swamped all night and couldn't wait to "getta here"...it was 6pm...she brought us the food and then we couldn't find her to ask for refill for our pop. We got another waitress attention who begrudgingly came with refills and said that they weren't free...weve been going here year and years and suddenly no free refills? So once we were done eating, out from the back emerges the grumpy waitress so I ask if its a new policy about the refills not being free, she then proceeds to say they've never been free and that that's how all restaurants are. I didn't even bother trying to fight it out with her cause god knows I couldn't have remained polite. Bottom line AMAZING food and TERRIBLE service.
A nice pleasant surprise after a day of shopping. Nice ambiance. Our server was wonderful, she was attentive and pleasant. Wings were delicous and my wife's chicken souvlaki dinner was scrumptious. she said everything was tasty and very large portions. Will definetly go back and hopefully we'll get the same server.
Oddly enough, I'd never been here before, even though I've lived in the area my whole life. They spruced up their outside signage and the place looks a lot more welcoming now.
The food was good, with really decent prices. I could've had dinner for about $10 if I hadn't ordered dessert. The service was a touch slow, but didn't make me impatient enough that it affected my tip. Definitely will be returning!
I've never gone to a restaurant and didnt eat what I ordered. Our garlic bread had a thick layer of cheese so we only picked at it. My boyfriend and I ordered steak hoagies, mine with cheese. There was about an inch of cheese on my sandwich; so much that the cheese underneath was not melted at all. I peeled the cheese off and there was still too much so I didn't touch it. My caesar salad was brown so I didn't touch it either. I didnt even have the chance to ask the waitress to bring me different food because she never visited our table once during our dinner.. and when we looked around for somebody to help us there was nobody. I will never go here again.
i have been attending ricki joes since i was 9 years old and the wings havent changed a bit. best wings in Niagara for sure,bar area for watching sports and drinking beer, and a family dining area for outings and gatherings.
I have been going here for years for wings and beer, they have the best wings around, this is not fine dining but it is a great pub style rest. with great food.
