The website had shown $3.50 for their garlic naan and I was charged $5 for them. I ordered two so I thought I would be charged $7 for both plus tax but was instead charged 10 plus tax. When I addressed this matter with the manager, she said she would look into it. They took the website down and updated it and called me back. She said I made a mistake and that their website does in fact show $5 for their naan and rudely said it wasn't them and I need to find my $3.50 garlic naan somewhere else.
I thought this restaurant was fantastic! Great atmosphere and friendly and quick service. I believe the owner served us and she was delightful to talk with. The food was great and price was very reasonable. (I ordered channa masala). Both my friend and I were very happy overall. 5 stars
The worst restaurant I have ever visited. Very ill-mannered and rude cashier/server lady. Bad customer service. Hidden charges. Firstly, the food came after 45 minutes of ordering and she wasn't even apologetic when I complained. Secondly, when other people from a different table started complaining about food and service, she just walked away. Very bad mannered lady. Lastly, she charged us $9.30 as server gratuity without even asking us and paid no heed when we argued. Don't even visit this place. Not worth your time and money. Find a better place where you can enjoy the good and customer service.
Service was bad food wasted awful. The owner/manager was the worst. Do your self a favor and do not go there as you will just waste your money
Went there on a Labour Day weekend with family. Being an Indian and fan of Indian cuisine I had seen decent reviews about the restaurant so we wanted to try out. But the tomato soup starter had offensive taste.(definitely not the Indian Tomato Soup we normally have) That part was okay... since they might end up messing the food. Now comes the interesting part... When we complained about the same, the manager walks up to me and says: "I'm sorry sir but we don't know your taste... And you will have to pay!" Instead of asking what is the problem or offering something other/better from the menu. Having Spend 10 years in the Service industry that was the "rudest" encounter at any restaurant I ever came across. The Main Entree was okish. (sweetish when they promised something medium spicy..) but at least edible. So in short.. I will suggest every "Indian" indian food connoisseur to AVOID. For any non-indian they can tell them its anything and they will beleive. And if you still do the blunder I did its purely your choice.....
I went for dinner at GURU with my brother, we are both big time lovers of good indian food and the reviews looked good. Well, although the food was OK (average) for $13 for a chicken course I was dissappointed. For that price I would expectg white meat, not dark meat, and also there probably wasn't even one whole peice of chicken in it! The service was mediocre, the bathrooms were totally unhygienic and the food was average at best
Visit to Niagra Landed us to this restaurant we had heard about. The food was very good, almost every thing tasted very good, atmosphere was buzzing, wish washrooms were more cleaner and the service could have been better. Just for the food we will visit this restasurant whenever visiting falls.
The young man that seated us was pretty nice/flexible with our order. The veg korma appetizer was delicious and the portion sizes were good. In fact, all the food was fantastic besides the vegetable curry which was totally ridiculous. It was made with bagged frozen vegetables. We didn't eat it. We would probably even go back if we were in Niagara Falls again and just not order the veg curry, or ask a little more specifically about what sort of ingredients were going to be used.
Really good food, their freshly baked naan bread that is to die for.
THIS IS HANDS DOWN, THE AMAZING RESTUARNT INDIAN RESTAURANT IN NIAGARA FALLS. The food is soo good! The services are also really nice. I really like the staffing because they made us feel at home. We arrived at 10:30 when the restaurant was going to close at 11, but they happily brought us in. Something that other restaurants may not do. We then ordered our food. We asked our server what he would recommend, For the non spicy lovers, he recommended the butter chicken. He also informed us that the butter chicken would be made in a white gravy so it wont be too hot. The dal makhani is their speciality. OH AND DID I MENTION THAT THEIR CHEFS ARE FROM MAURYA SHETARTON HOTEL IN INDIA. THEY HAD ALSO SERVED PAST PRESIDENT , BILL CLINTON AND HIS FAMILY!!! We also ordered 2 vegetable biryanis . I NORMALLY DONT EAT BIRYANIS, BUT THIS ONE WAS AMAZING! AS IT IS FROM MAURYA SHERATON ! (: WE ORDERED SOME NAAN, GARLIC NAAN, ROTIS PLAIN RICE. Okay so this is the meal, wait until you hear about the desserts! We were a party of 4 people so we each had our own dessert. Ras Malai, Gulab Jamun, Kheer and Kulfi. I had the gulab jamun. I normally dont oder it because of the sweetness, but i thought ill give it a shot. this wasnt too sweet or too bland. it was jsut perfect!!! our bill came up to $80 between the four of us. really worth our money My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks. i am definatly coming to this place to celebrare ,my birthday! thank you very much guru staff!
