If you want quality viet food and friendly service, this is the place. The udon noodle soup is perfect with ample chicken and a hint of onion and spice. the lemongrass chicken is a perfect portion and both dishes were served fast, hot and with a smile -- visit and you will love it!
THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME VISTING AND WE WERE IMPRESSED. WE WERE IN THE MOOD FOR SOUP SO WE TRIED THE UDON CHICKEN SOUP AND THE SHRIMP SWEET AND SOUR. THE SERVING SIZE WAS PERFECT -- GENEROUS AND TASTY! THE SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING. THE CHEF CAME OUT AND OFFERED US ADDITIONAL HOT PEPPER AND THE SERVER WAS EXTREMELY ACCOMODATING. THE SOUPS WERE BOTH LOADED WITH CHICKEN (AND SHRIMP) AND THE BROTH WAS PERFECT -- NOT TOO SALTY. WE ARE HOPING TO RETURN SOON TO TRY OUT MORE THINGS ON THE MENU. YOU REALLY MUST GO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR GOOD HEALTHY FRESH FOOD AND OUTSTANDING SERVICE!
we go at least once a week. the people who run it are extremely nice, the food hits the spot, and the place is clean, inviting, and comfortable.
Consistently the best Pad Thai in London. Also, amazing mango salad!!! The service is always very friendly. The owners actually recognize us now and are happy to see us every time we come in. We also do a lot of take out from this place and the food is always hot and tasty when we bring it home. Delivery is also available on orders over $25, I think. We have used the service a couple of times now. Many times the hole in the wall places have the best food and this is one of the better examples!
We decided to visit this restaurant because of the review below mine. I was drawn in because the idea of coconut chicken curry sounded SO good to me. We went for the first time a few weeks ago, and of course, I ordered the chicken curry. It was unbelievably good! The chicken was tender, the taro root was a perfect fit with the chicken, coconut milk and curry. We have been back a number of times since that first visit a few weeks ago. I order the chicken curry every time. We have also had the pad thai, barbecue pork fresh spring rolls, hot pot chicken (my husband orders this every time we go), shrimp with green beans, carrots onions and mushrooms (fresh green beans cooked to perfection!), Beef soup with noodles; hue style, and I'm sure at least a few other dishes. We always want to try something new, but everything we've had has been so good we don't want to miss out on the opportunity to have it again. That makes it a little more difficult to explore the menu more thoroughly, but we usually try to add at least one new dish when we go. The staff is wonderful. Friendly, social and kind. We've been there only 4 or 5 times and they already recognize us, and the waiter could even tell us what our "usuals" are. I was impressed! Tonight after having the coconut milk chicken curry yet again, I decided that if I ever had to choose my last meal, that would be it. It's THAT good.
I initially went because this restaurant's got pretty good reviews here, and on other review sites as well. It's a family-run restaurant, as the guy serving us told us his mom made all the food. And it didn't disappoint! I personally had the coconut curry chicken on rice, which also has lemongrass and taro in it, and let me tell you, it was one of the best curries I've ever tasted! Although it cost a bit more than I was used to for Vietnamese food, the food was definitely worth it, and I'd go there again if I was in London. (I've also heard that the pad thai is one of the best, and that would definitely be something I'd try next.)
Quynh Nhi's is hands down the best Vietnamese in London. I have been going there for the past two years and wish I had discovered it earlier. Their rolls are authentic and come with mint and lettuce to wrap it in. Their Pho and Bun are both delicious and on top of all that they even offer the best Pad Thai in London, something I can't help but order everytime I go, especially after working my way threw all of London's thai restaurants only to find that most either cover it in ketchup or soy or peanut. Trust me if you think you like pad thai and go somewhere else in London for it than you don't know what your missing when you have the real thing. As far as Vietnamese goes this is the place, and as a bonus they make better pad thai than anyone else in London.
Please do not tell anyone about this place. I love it, and it is already too hard to get a table at peak hours. I think this is a family operation, and the food is fabulous. I love Pad 'Thai, and this is one of London's best. They have redecorated in the last few years, and the place looks great. Delicious smoothies, wonderful fresh rolls, and great prices for the quality of food, which is fabulous. Love it, love it, love it!
A very tiny, but tidy and simply decorated establishment. Staff welcome you with a warm smile. Service is well above average, fast and efficient. You can tell this is a family run place, as the entire family is working away making their famous spring rolls and such, and they take great pride in getting it right every time. Food was absolutely delicious. I had a lot of spring rolls, Pho, and a chicken and vermicelli dish which were all well prepared and tasty. Prices were reasonable, and about what I'd expect to pay. They seemed to be doing a lot of business when I was there, and I can certainly see why. I've been back several times, and I will continue so spend my hard earned dollars here.
This place is just around the corner from my office, so we are there at least once a week. So much that the staff know us all by name. I don't think that impacts our experience overly, it is just that great of a place. Food is amazing, pad thai is the best in the city.
Can't beat the food or the friendly staff. I've been there many times, both for sit-down and take-out, and am never disappointed. Comfort food at it's finest.
This is a quaint little restaurant off the beaten path. The service is friendly with a good family atmosphere. Starting with the fresh spring rolls and refreshing cold mango salad then the hot food came. Everything was fresh, hot, and well seasoned without being overly spicy. The bill was a little high for lunch but worth it.
My comment is written on cost-satisfaction basis. Pad thai is quite impressive. Beef noodle soup is recommendable. The chicken dish is quite good but not impressive enough. I'll visit this place for the noodle dishes, not for the chicken dish.
The food was delicious. The pad thai had amazing flavour, spicy while maintaining a certain sweetness. The tofu was seasoned perfectly as well. The lemon grass chicken on vermicelli was so flavour infused I wanted another serving right there! I highly recommend this restaurant if you like thai/viet. We've been around to many locations in town, and somehow this little gem passed beneath the radar.....they've been open for 7 YEARS now!
Have eaten here many times. This place is the best place we have been to in London for good, economical Thai or Vietnamese food. Everything we have had is good. Fantastic service, always quick and very friendly. Very nice, casual atmosphere. Quite small, but that is part of what makes it enjoyable and unique. Also a great place for take-out. (They should really put their menu online.) Highly recommended. Good, fast, affordable, and enjoyable. Cheers.
The pork rolls and chicken pad thai were awsome! My fiance ordered the the wonton soup and the beef pad thai and enjoyed his meal as well. It was our first visit, and we will absolutely return!
I started going to this restaurant when I began university in london and even though I have since moved away, I return everytime I visit. The food is fantastic, prices are cheap, and staff are really nice and helpful. The owner taught me to use chopsticks on my first visit years ago. The prices have increased over the years, but NOT significantly. They have done some nice renovations. They also donate the funds from the $1.50 they charge for a pot of tea to people in need in Vietnam. I urge anyone who like Vietnamese or Thai food to give it a try!
The Pad Thai here is AMAZING!! I have tried a lot of places, and nothing compares. My husband and I recently moved from London, but when we go back to visit out families, this is often our first stop. The staff is beyond friendly and the service is very fast.
My favourite place to go for pad thai. The service is great and the people working there always remember us when we come. It was recently renovated and now has great atmosphere as well as fantastic food.
The best Pad Thai I have ever try. Altough I was a little bit desapointed with the portions(just 2 pieces of squid) but overall I enjoyed. My husband also enjoyed his vermicelli. We will come back for sure. The service was very fast and friendly.
