We finally made a return visit to this charming little restaurant. We were not disappointed! We all enjoyed our choices from the new menu. My ribs were excellent -juicy, tender, meaty, tasty. The ladies oohed and awed over their lamb. Our red -haired waitress was delightful and added to the enjoyment of our evening. We left "stuffed" and talking about a return visit.
We were somewhat disappointed with our recent experience at this restaurant. To begin, we were given dirty menus and at our table a plate, a knife and a glass were all dirty. We had difficulty finding something we wanted to order on the new menu. The prices have gone up but I think the quality has gone down.
The delicious food is what keeps me and my friends coming back. On three visits I've has the hanger steak and fries, arctic char and ribs. The vegetables are fresh and beautifully cooked, they compliment the meal. We always save a little room for the sticky toffee pudding. Friendly, professional service and the the chef usuallly comes to the table to check in. This is the best eating experience in town. they should consider opening for lunch.
I am sorry folks but myself and three of my girlfriends went to this restaurant and had a very different experience. We were not at all impressed!! One of my friends had the lamb and the others had the steak. One dish was served with frits (basically french fries which weren't great french fries to boot). The service was average.......waitress seemed very stressed out and was not very attentive to our needs....seemed like we were bothering her at times. Very inexperienced server for the caliber of restaurant it was supposed to be. The layout of the restaurant is extremely small and poorly appointed. The acoustics were very poor and it was hard to even hear each other talk. There was a table of 10 (which basically took up the entire restaurant). They were extremely boisterous and did not seem to care that other people were dining in the same small space. When Drew Wright walked through the door, he got both waitresses attention and was taken care of immediately....hmmm?? Do you think that was because he is a local celebrity?? Nonetheless, we would not recommend your restaurant or return for a second visit upon our frequent visits to Collingwood.
Not quite sure what all the hype is about. Quite frankly, we have eaten at far better restaurants than this one. Food was pretty good but certainly not the best I have had. The restaurant was really small and really loud. Service was okay but again, not great. Not sure we would return for a second dining experience.
I just went to this restaurant for the first time and I loved it. I had rack of lamb and it was in my top ten best meals of my lifetime. I was extremely impressed. Also the atomosphere is cozy and our waiter was great. Overall, not a single complaint, it was a perfect evening at a restaurant.
We enjoyed our meal at this charming restaurant. We shall thank our friends who recommended it. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The service was friendly and helpful.
I walk by this place often in the evening. I have been amazed at how busy it has been since it opened in November. I decided I must try it. We finally got a reservation on Friday. It was worth the wait. We enjoyed our meals and the charming waitress who served us. The chef even came to our table to make sure everything was fine. I now know why the place is full most nights.

This brand new restaurant is a wonderful addition to Collingwood's dining scene. The menu offers good variety. The food and service are outstanding. We wish the new owner/chef much success.
Glad to see this little restaurant on your list. We visited for the first time and were very impressed. Everyone in our party seemed to enjoy their meal. My partner and I intend to make a return visit but they seem very very busy. I guess diners are enjoying the good food and generous servings.
