Discount Car and Truck Rentals

will never rent from discount again . bad experience

We had a reservation to pick up a car when our ship docked in Sydney. We had reserved one month ahead and had called the day before we left for our trip to make sure they had our reservation. On arrival, we found they did not have a car and we also encountered 4 or 5 other groups of people who had planned on renting a vehicle for their day in port and were told even though they had reservations no cars were available. I had tried to pre-pay but was told that was not necessary.

We ordered a rental from discount car and truck near the Sydney nova scotia airport through the online booking system. We were given a confirmation code. When we arrived they told me oh sorry, we didnt have your phone number, we overbooked and we dont have a car for you. We were abandoned at the airport, I asked other car companies of they had vehicles and they did not. They also told me I was the 6th person that day that discount had done this to! We have no way to get around vacation ruined!
