The evolution of technology has changed the way people entertain themselves, and as such, many of us are disconnected due to our over-reliance on smartphones or computers. Activities that force us to leave the house, be social and have fun are more important than ever. Grandview Lanes on Commercial Drive, offering five-, 10-pin and even glow bowling, is a great option.
“It’s a lot of fun and it’s something you can do for life, from age four to 104,” explains Tammy Marino, the general manager.
Tammy started bowling when she was only four years old and began working at the bowling centre when she was ten, chasing pins and fixing machines.
“I’m the third generation. My grandfather opened the bowling centre in 1947, my father ran it for years and now I’m the general manager. So I kind of inherited the business,” she says.
