Matt Palsenbarg is no stranger to competitive golf, having won provincial and national titles and a reputation as one of the longest drivers in the country. But a decade ago, he turned his attention to teaching and coaching.
Now in partnership with Jason Glass, one of the world’s top GolfStrength and Conditioning coaches, Matt is the director of instruction at the Tour Performance LAB at Northview.
“I got into coaching because I wanted to give back to the game,” says Matt. “I love the great relationships you can forge with players and other coaches and it’s an honour to work with players who really want to improve their games.”
Also on the Tour Performance LAB team are: Chris Lutes, a junior golf superhero who works with Junior Labsters under the age of 13 and the regular youth LAB golfers aged 12 to 18; Lindsay Manion, who is a top golf performance coach with a passion for fitness, nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices; Nate Beauchamp and Daniel Naismith, who coach youngsters and adults of all ages; and John Shin, whose expertise is with tournament caliber players, as he has played on several top worldwide professional golf tours.
“We work on every aspect of a top golfer’s game, from nutrition and fitness to their mental well-being, course strategy and giving them every opportunity to play their best golf,” says Matt.
