My husband and I had an excellent dinner at Woodfire Monday 5th Aug. I enjoyed a wonderful seafood grill, and John had the Cioppini and also enjoyed his meal. So glad Woodfire is here on Gabriola!!
Last night, the three of us were in need of a relaxing visit around a table of great food - and Woodfire Pizza & Pasta did not disappoint. In fact, we ate and drank for three hours, sampling random dishes from the menu because we just couldn't narrow down the choices. The antipasto plate was exquisite and so delicious. The Degnan Bay pizza had us all fighting over the last piece. And the pastas? You wouldn't believe it if I told you, so you better try them for your self. When we left, I expected a bill over $200 because we each had a few drinks, more than enough food, and two desserts. But our tab was just $117 and change (I actually asked if they had made a mistake, but they hadn't). Everything has come together for this little island gem of a restaurant - the food, the prices, the service, right down to the warm and welcoming ambiance.
