What started as a hobby to watch the analytics of general content articles turned into a passion to sell leggings. “It was just a geeky little hobby to see what analytics would generate after writing articles and seeding them naturally through social media,” says Carrie Paxson, owner of Carrie’s Closet. “Because I was a full-time consultant, it was nothing more than a part-time hobby.”
For six years, Carrie continued with her hobby until she started thinking of ways to monetize it. “On my way back from visiting my mom in Ireland, I stopped by New York for a few days,” Carrie says. “That’s where I found and partnered with Gracia and a few other businesses. Officially, Carrie’s Closet has been open since 2013.”
