Great food and service.
The service is fantastic, and the food is to die for. It is hard to find a complaint with such a wonderful restraunt
Not impressed since our last visit! Overpriced, warm beer, bottled garlic in pasta sauce (not fresh), grizzled meatballs! Best thing was the the slightly over salted Red Pepper soup! Won't be going back!
My husband and I have eaten in many nice restaurants all over the world. We live in Sudbury and though I wouldn't say Pat and Mario's ranks up with the high end places....for Sudbury it's one of the better places you'll find. The staff has always been courteous and prompt. Certain foods are extremely good where other's fall short. You usually can't go wrong with the daily specials. My husband loves their pizzas and I adore the caesar salad. It's probably the best I have ever had. Stay away from sandwiches, burgers and fries. The soups, depending on what they are....are edible. If you're wanting to go for a quiet meal...plan on early dinner in the middle of the week. The rest of the time the noise level is a little too high to hear anyone speak. Unfortunately, there is not a lot to choose from as fine dining goes in this city....but it's worth the trip to this place..:)
I was very excited to go, I usually love the food. Havent been here in a while, couple of years. Ordered Ceasar Salad, very oily, not as creamy as I remember it. Mussels marinara, I guess they opened a jar of marinara sauce, because I have made this recipe from scratch and there sauce was from a jar. The bread was good. Price is ridiculous, 14 dollars for an appetizer of mussels. and seven dollars for the small ceasar salad. For one person thats a lot of money not to mention the price of a pop. Oh and this was for lunch. Wont be going back anytime soon.
I have been here several times and I am always pleased with the service and quality of food. The staff is friendly and helpful, the menu is excellent and the food is great! I always order the Cajun Salmon because it is a great dish. However, I once visited the restaurant with my boyfriend and he was very disappointed with the burger, it was literally dripped with oil.
menus were very confusing , they say there italian but they feature burgers ( they are not good ) there fries are greasy and soggy, the pasta and italian items we did have tated like frozen microwave meals . the decor is also odd ...a blend of 80,90, and current . over priced !
Pat & Mario's is one of the best restaurants in Sudbury. The menu is made up of tried and tested dishes that are sure to get your mouth watering and a wine listing that perfectly pairs vino with all dishes. Best known for its homemade Caesar salad dressing (garlic meets perfection), roasted red pepper and tomato soup (rich and creamy) and precisely grilled steaks (every time), Pat & Mario's offers a truly amazing dining experience. The owners, staff and management are all truly dedicated to the restaurant and always go the extra mile to ensure that your experience is positive.
Went here on a Friday night and there was a bit of a wait, but I expected that since we arrived without reservations. I ordered the prime rib burger with fries & gravy. The fries were good, but a tad greasy and they weren't really the type you can eat with your fingers. The burger, unfortunately was the made from frozen type and not home made like I was expecting. I wasn't able to finish it because I over estimated my hunger a bit and after an 8 hour bus ride, I wasn't really up to eating something so 'heavy' on my stomach. I regret not getting just a ceaser salad with chicken. For a drink, I ordered a margarita which was good as I expected it to be. The restaurant itself is quite nice inside, and we were seated at a booth. The server(Brandi I think was her name) did a good job and came by a few times to check in and refilled my water fairly quickly when I asked. Next time I visit, (which will also be when I move there to Suds permanently) I'll try pasta and a salad which is obviously what they specialize in seeing as it is an Italian restaurant.
Frozen food that had been nuked just prior to serving . Too bad we used to like going to Pat and Marios but I guess everything changes . Its so much easyer and cheaper to hire a kid that can work a microwave than a chef . I complaned and she offerd to make it right ... I really did not want anymore nuked food
Iwent for lunch around 1...busy but not too busy. Ive been craving the caeser salad for weeks! Yum I decided to have it with chicken and the waitress recommended the cajun...i asked if it was spicy, she said no...she was wrong! The salad itself was amazing...i just wish i would have went with the grilled chicken. The cajun chicken had way too much spice on it...if there would have been a little it would have been good but it was caked on there...too much! Service was great as always :)
Pat and Mario's do not have a burger. They replaced it with a Prime Rib ground formed frozen patty. It is gross and the texture is horrible. I f I wanted prime rib I would order a prime rib steak, don't ruin it by grinding it forming it into a frozen patty. Disgusting and overpriced. It's not even a high end posh restaurant, why not have a regular burger? Won't waste my money there again.
I absolutley love going to Pat and Mario's. Although it's a little pricey, the food always comes hot, on time and delicious!!! I do have to agree with one of the comments on here: that the place can be alittle over crowded, they tables are to close and you can see the waitstaff has a hard time getting through when the place is packed.
I was from out of town and it was great to eat at a nice place with great food and friendly service. I will be back
My second visit in a week - I am so lucky! We managed to grab the private room in the back since we were celebrating a birthday. We were also lucky enough to have Joyce wait on our table - what a joy she is! If you aren't in a good mood when you arrive, she will definitely make you smile. Everyone's dishes were great...a perfect afternoon, actually. My only dilemma was whether I could squeeze in dessert on this visit (the Panna Cotta was calling to me)...and yet again, after finishing my two appetizers, I did not have the room. Until the next time...
My friend and I finished off a day of shopping by treating ourselves to a late lunch at Pat & Mario's. Since she had recently tried mussels for the first time (9elsewhere) I suggested that she try the mussels at Pat & Mario's since I was more than pleased with them during my laswt lunch visit. When we arrived, we were promptly seated (it was nearly 2pm) at a booth for 2 near the window. Once we each ordered our beverage, we both decided to try the two flatbreads and a bowl of mussels for each of us. The waitress then kindly suggested that we move to a larger table to accomodate the size of the dishes that were to arrive. Once we moved, it was only 5 minutes for our drinks to arrive, another 5 for our flatbreads to show up on long wooden boards and another 5 minutes for our mussels with extra bowls for our shells. It was no wonder we needed all that room. (A proactive move by our waitress.) The flatbreads were both great - a lot of veggies and not too much cheese. The mussels were enjoyable but not as fantastic as I promised my friend they would be. The mussels were swimming in too much of the rich sauce. If the sauce was lighter and if we were served bread alongside it, I could understand the dish's composition. Although tasty, the sauce completely overpowered the poor little mussels. Perhaps third time ordering will be the charm...
WOW! There food is amazing! I recomend to everyone this restaurant! Calamari was really good, but the sausage on the pizza was a little to cooked.
Fantastic food at a more expensive price than what we are used to but for the the amount...WOW!!! I swear the meatballs with my sphagetti were at least 1/2 lb each!!!
A local institution for good reason! This has been one of Sudbury finest, most successful restaurants with few glaring weaknesses. The menu is simply gigantic with a wide selection of different food - mainly Italian - to satisfy your taste buds. All sorts of different pastas, salads, meats, sandwiches, sides - there is no shortage of food available for whatever you feel like. There is so much to enjoy on the menu, I simply can't name a specific dish to sample! Whatever you crave, you won't be disappointed - I know I wasn't! The servers are always friendly and check up on your table often enough. Last time I was there, they were evidently short-staffed so I don't hold that against the service score. In my experience, they will always make sure you have a good meal and enjoy your visit. The atmosphere is electric on weekends, especially at dinner. So many people, so many tables! However, if you prefer to relax during your meal, sometime it can be a bit overwhelming with the sheer number of patrons surrounding you. The dining area can get quite crowded! And the entrance is far too small for the crowds it attracts. Pat & Mario's has been successful for a reason. Even if it can be very crowded, is that ever a bad thing for a local restaurant? The food is so good and the service so efficient, you won't bothered to worry about it. PROS: Wide selection of food, reasonable prices, good service, kitchen efficient. CONS: Gets very crowded at the small entrance when waiting, too many tables too close together.
Service was great, food was great. It always is a good experience there.
