The atmosphere was very attractive with cable tv screens at the tables. This is where it ended.
A total of over 40 minutes waiting for our food.
My burger was burned on the underside so you could not know how well it was cooked. Yes-put the dark side down on the bun so the customer cannot make a visual. My wife had the chicken club the size of a loonie and our friend had fish and chips with the fish so dark and greasy, it should of been tossed to the bin. The chef must of been on break making these entrees.
I have never gotten food service at the Leamington location. Food is over priced, small serving sizes and sub par service. I have been there a few times and figured that we has a bad server but every time we go back it gets worse. One time we just went for drinks... Waited 10 minutes for a draught beer and then the waitress refused to come back. My wife waited over 20 minutes at the bar for the bartender but I guess she was having too much fun flirting with people to bother doing her job. Do yourself a favour and go to Jose's.
not a good place to go if you have more than 4 people with you.
We had called ahead and asked if they could handle a goup of 30 -40 people. They said sure, so we went. we had one poor girl doing 35 people. would you give her that many if they were all seperate tables? couldn't keep up with anything, not even drinks. food was forgotten, food was over cooked, under cooked, it was like the kitchen couldn't do more than 1 table at a time. we were all getting ready to leave when one guys food finally came out and it was cold. no management to talk to when we asked for one. the did give us 15% off our order, but having it correct would have been better. 3 hours after we walked in we finally were done. side salads were drenched with water/dressing and soggy like they were made way ahead and sat while food cooked. Even a easy order of french fries was the last thing to come out. those people ordered first, they were so mad they left. Would never suggest to go here with a large group. on the bright side they did have lots of selection on the menu...just not sure if the kitchen will get it right. I also brought in a cake to celebrate a b-day. She was bringing the bills, and i said I guess i will go get the cake. She never even remembered that I brought it into her before we sat down. Not her fault she had too many things to do. A table of 15 or more should be handled by two wait staff at the least.
Went there for dinner and had the worst food experience. I'm not one to complain but the price of the food vs quality was horrible, it even made me so mad I signed up here just to write a review. My girlfriend ordered ravioli (Which was 16$) and on the plate were 12 small ravioli's. That's $1.30 a noodle. The sauce that was on it tasted watery and bland, not what you would expect from a restaurant. I ordered some sort of chicken breast on a bun ( I forget what it was called) and it was deep-fried so much the layer of fried batter was 3 times the thickness of the breast. There was even a picture of it on the menu that looked normal and what I received was far from it.
Take this review for what you will but stay away from this place so it can just go out of business and we can get a decent restaurant there
My family went to shoeless joes this past sunday because we herd it was under new management, and really wanted to try it. We went in and were greated promply. The server was very polite and had great meal suggestions. I informed my waitress about an allergy and they were very accomidating. We had 5 cheese dip for an appitizer, a peppercorn steak and smothered chicken for the meal. IT WAS AMAZING! We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the tvs in every booth kept my son occupied. We had a very enjoyable experience. The manager came to the table and enquired how the food and service was. He was very polite and easy to talk to. when the bill came the waitress informed us that it was kids eat free on sundays. That was the icing on the cake. We will be back!
My Boyfriend and I decided to try Shoeless Joe's because his sister and aunt both work there, so we stopped in for lunch on afternoon. We looked at the menu and had a very hard time deciding on what we'd actually like to order, everything on the menu was pretty much the same thing that we have seen on other menus. There was absolutely anything that screamed "I'm Yummy!" So my boyfriend settled with a burger and I with the chicken breast, The only reason why our service was outstanding was because his sister waited on us and she was on top of our drink orders, when our food arrived cold we decided not to mention anything just to be respectful towards his sister who was clearly doing her best to accommodate her other tables. Neither of us finished our meal, the fries that came with his burger were so greasy and plain that they were left on the plate, my potatoes were ice cold and my chicken was bland, needless to say that when we got our bill and it was almost 60 dollars for two meals and two drinks we decided right then and there that we would never return to Shoeless Joe's again.
