We bought two rib-eye steaks, very expensive and were not worth the money, sadly. They were very chewy and gristly. Too bad, but we will not return to this butcher.

Very unprofessional. I was promised delivery on Monday, which is a holiday. They assured me they were in my area every day. They pushed it off until Tuesday, which is understandable. Then on Tuesday they told me some products were unavailable, and they would deliver it Friday. On Friday, there was a snowstorm, so they were unable to deliver then. On Saturday, at noon, they still didn't have the delivery driver on the road, and then cancelled my order. Every time I spoke with them I insis
Excellent selection of good quality meats and outstanding service.
deplorable. Prepared stuffed peppers were not edible. I mean that; they were disgusting and went to the garbage. I thought I’d give it a second try and ordered chicken breasts. They were slimy, so I fed them to my dogs. A third effort was buying two strip loin steaks. I promise you, I have had better steak from No Frills. They were not edible. Went to a friends for thanksgiving and they bought a turkey from this turkey. It was a Costco turkey! Hard to believe but true.
Have been going to store since they opened and have always had excellent service and quality meats. Keep up the great work! Thanks for being in Alliston. New Tecumseth Glass and Mirror Ltd Don.
The service was very impressive! Never tasted a better fresher burger. Just tried their sausages and so far batting two for two. Keep up the great work guys, I will be recommending this butcher shop to all our customers and friends. Looking forward to my next visit! Ruben Aquapura Water
We were thrilled when Delzotto & Son Butcher Shop opened in Alliston. Recently, we placed an order for a turkey. We opened the packaging when we got home and the turkey smelled horrible and had an unusually large amount of blood in it. We put it in a brining bag and rinsed it with bottled water and brining salt. It didn't help. We called Rick and the first thing he asked was, "What's the best before date?" We hadn't even thought to look at that. It was never a question that Delzotto's would have sold us meat past the best before date. We could see Dec . . 2011, but the DAY date was mostly rubbed off. It looked like it was two ones, Dec 11, 2011, which meant the turkey was three days past the best before date. Rick said we could pick up a fresh turkey in two days. So much for brining for 48 hours. We picked up a fresh turkey today. This one is fresh, the last one was definitely rotten. And herein lies my disappointment. Delzotto's thought it was fair to give us a 16lb turkey in exchange for the 14lb rotten turkey. Nothing for our trouble, in fact Rick was rude. This situation was not our fault. We ordered a turkey giving the shop 10 days notice. They sold us a turkey past the best before date which cost us lost time and effort. We had to buy more brine salt, a new brine bag and another gallon of bottled water, not to mention trips back and forth to the butcher shop. We are not saying this is Delzotto's fault either. Stuff happens. Like a best before date being rubbed off resulting in selling a rotten turkey. We have been loyal customers since Delzotto's opened. Thank goodness we didn't cook and eat the turkey. Delzotto should be thankful that nobody got sick, or worse. In light of the confrontational way that Rick handled this situation we can no longer shop at Delzotto & Son Butcher Shop or recommend their shop. In the end, our mistake was trusting our butcher. Always check best before dates! And if your meat smells or looks bad, do not eat it!
