Very rude and unprofessional, rough and uncaring with my animal. Only up side is they are cheaper than other vets in the kootenays but is also a bit of a red flag. Would never go back or recommend to anyone, will just pay the extra $ to have a better vet care for my pet.

Best Vet in the Kootenays. People who understand medical and veterinary science know the superior skills of Dr Hagedorne, and come from far and wide to have him see their animals.They come from Trail, Nelson, Castlegar, and beyond. He is a very practical vet and will fully inform you of the problems, if any. And his prices are great.
I called today and inquired about a surgery for my pet. This vet was very short with me, almost rude, and told me he is leaving the country and to look elsewhere for services. The whole time i felt like i was a bother, and I almost thought he was going to hang up on me. I was very polite and nothing in my call would have made any other vet act this way. Don't offer a service if you are going to make people feel like they're stealing your time.
Just want to say a big thank you. We have been using this vet service for over 13 years now and new he was so great, but tonight we had a late friday emergency. The vet said to come right up, waited until 9 pm for us to arrive and was wonderful with us and our old girl (who is fine). He is honest, down to earth and realistic. His rates are more than fair too.
I have been going to this vet for years. He is an outstanding vet plus his prices are much lower than in Nelson.
