Springfield Kennels

Our 14 year old shepherd spent 4 nights there and came home tired, lots of food not eaten and reluctant to go outside. I left feeding instructions and believe they were followed, but his dentisticks were not given or any of the treats we sent. He is too old to participate in the play period and did not enjoy the outside playtime because he did not play much with the other old, blind shepherd he was paired with. He would have done better with 2 daily walks.

You know they ate great when your dog runs in with his tail up waiting for them to come to the desk & he's off to play without looking back. Of course we think they ate great to!

I have been kenneling my dog at Springfield Kennels 2 weeks a month for the past 4 years. You will not find a nicer kennel than Springfield. The grounds and kennels are spacious and clean, with ample room for the dogs to run and socialize with one another. The managers are kind and accommodating. The rates are fair and comparable to other kennels. When I am away, I know Mukwa will be happy and well looked after. Don't forget to check out their Facebook page!

We have used several different kennel locations and Springfield by far, is our favourite choice. Clean, quiet, calm and a beautiful setting for boarding. Our dog never appears stressed and anxious when we arrive at the facility, unlike other places we have been to. We make the trip from Calgary to this kennel. Highly recommend Springfield kennels. ;-)

Be careful of unmentioned pricing policy

Please be aware they have both morning and afternoon drop-off/pick-up periods, but charge for an extra night's stay if you use the afternoon pick-up. As well, they are closed Sunday mornings so you automatically pay for a "three nights stay" if you leave your dog for the weekend.
